Some weddings we've assisted with to date:

Rachel and Dave

Rachel had organised everything. The day was planned and she even had a co-ordinator at the hotel where the reception was being held. She realised a few weeks before her wedding day that it was going to be difficult to co-ordinate activities on the day and ensure that her family were fully relaxed and able to enjoy the day with her. Rachel wasn't quite sure who else she could trust to ensure that dresses were picked up, flowers delivered, the church and venue decor checked etc, while she, her bridesmaids and mother were being suited and booted for the big day. Then somebody told her about us!

We collected the dresses the day before the wedding and delivered them to Rachel's home. Collected the flowers and the order of service from her home the next morning and delivered them to the church. Checked the church was dressed according to Rachel's instructions, that the organist had the correct hymn sheet and the order of services were available for guests and then went on to check the venue. We checked the table settings, table plan, discussed her plans with the hotel's co-ordinator and ensured that the DJ and Toastmaster were arriving at the correct time. We were on hand until just after the speeches to ensure that all went smoothly. Directing guests to the correct locations, assisting the photographer and ensuring that the wedding party gifts were ready and waiting for the speeches.

Total cost - £264.00

Declan and Gary

Our first civil ceremony. Declan and Gary had family coming from Newcastle and the Midlands but were getting married in Bedfordshire. They both have very time consuming and demanding careers. We had previously co-ordinated their house move and they contacted us for some assistance with their special day. Following a consultation, they purchased our comprehensive, No Nonsense Nuptials package and we co-ordinated the whole event for them, allowing them to focus on their busy careers and enjoy a stress free build up to their very special day.

Total cost - £575.00

Tracey and Steve

Tracey and Steve wanted on-the-day support. They were getting married at a wonderful location, with excellent staff but, possibly because they knew people who had been through the whole process once before and were a little older and wiser, realised that they might need an extra pair of hands around as a back up plan. We arrived 3 hours before the wedding was due to commence and co-ordinated the suppliers and answered questions from the restaurant staff. We ensured the seating arrangement for the civil ceremony was in place and that the correct music was ready and waiting for Tracey's entrance. We ushered Tracey and Steve in and out of the registrar's interview room without them seeing each other. Checked the table set up and seating plans for the sit down meal. Assisted the photographer post service to ensure all of the people Tracy and Steve wanted on their pictures were there. Had the presents for the wedding party ready and waiting for Steve after the speeches and basically assisted in any way we could. We left a happy wedding party post speech but only after having checked that the DJ had the correct first dance lined up and that the wedding presents were placed in a secure location for collection the next day.

Total cost - £240.00

Janet and Dave

Janet and Dave got married with 8 weeks notice! We short listed available venues with price lists and sample menus. Chased their RSVPs, finalised guest numbers and organised the flowers.
Total Cost - Wedding assistance £120.00 plus 10 home visits and pet feeding £85.00

Erin and Dan

Erin contacted us after our mention in Brides magazine. She lived in San Francisco, USA and was getting married in Ludlow, Shropshire. She contacted us 12 weeks before her big day and was struggling with an 8 hour time difference. Erin's locations were booked but unseen and a number of suppliers were not yet organised. There was one venue for the ceremony and one for the wedding breakfast.

We took a trip to Ludlow, camera in hand. We visited and photographed her locations and timed the journeys to assist with planning the day's schedules. Discussed her plans with each venue manager/owner and ensured we were kept in the loop on all correspondence from thereon in. Sent full notes and photos back to Erin so she could visualise her big day. Organised flowers, cup cakes and a fish and chip supper in a beautiful old pub the night before the wedding. Researched various things, as requested by Erin. Booked hair and nail appointments and arranged for the airing of the bridal party's dresses once they had arrived from the States. Offered advice on venue dressing and the daytime schedule and even assisted when problems occurred with Customs and Excise when the dress arrived in the UK.

Both Stella and Nicky attended on the day because of the two locations. Stella went to the location of the wedding ceremony. Dressed the venue according to Erin's instructions and checked final arrangements with the on-site wedding co-ordinator to ensure all was running as expected. Spoke with the photographer to see if he had any special instructions and confirmed the pianist was aware of what was to happen.

Nicky stayed with the wedding guests at the hotel. Co-ordinated their journey via coaches and ensured that all guests were accounted for and arrived on time at the wedding venue.

Post service, we cleared the bridal suite, which we had arranged for Erin to use to get ready in, and took all clothes back to the hotel. Stella returned to the hotel to dress the tables and ensure that the room was laid out according to instructions whilst Nicky assisted the photographer and got the guests back onto the coaches and back to the hotel for the wedding breakfast. All without losing one guest!

We took all the presents to a secure location as agreed with Erin, got the first dance lined up for play and departed, tired but very happy after watching our first transatlantic couple have their first dance.

Total cost - £790.00 including two, midweek, on-the-day attendees.

Emily and Alan

Emily was getting married in a civil ceremony and the location did have some assistance but the help she was receiving was limited to the facilities on site. We co-ordinated her guest list, recommended suppliers for her flowers and cake and booked a mobile make up artist and hairdresser to visit her on the morning of the wedding. We booked her appointments at various bridal shops so that she could try and find the dress of her dreams and sourced a special gift for her father. We dressed the tables the night before the wedding. Collected the cake, flowers and dresses for her and delivered them to her parents home.

We arranged for a deep clean and mini declutter of her parents' home as they were having a number of family members over to stay for the celebrations and we took all the bags of unwanted items to a charity shop on their behalf.
We returned to the venue the morning after the wedding to clear the room, collect the gifts and deliver them back to Emilys parents' home.

Total cost - £560.00, including price of declutter and clean
